Warranty

Warranty

Every piece of hardware we sell carries at least a 12-month warranty. Most carries longer, because most manufacturers back their gear properly and we pass that through to you.

What's covered

Manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use in a commercial venue. That's the important part — we sell into hospitality and retail, and the warranty terms we quote assume the gear is being used all day, every day.

What isn't

  • Physical damage, liquid damage, or damage from power events
  • Consumables and wear items — batteries past their rated cycles, print heads, paper, cabling
  • Hardware modified or opened by someone other than us or the manufacturer
  • Faults caused by third-party software or configuration we didn't install

Warranty periods by category

CategoryPeriod
Payment terminals12 months, manufacturer-backed
Receipt and kitchen printers12–24 months depending on model
Tablets and POS displays12 months
Stands, mounts and enclosures24 months
Cabling and accessories12 months

The warranty period for a specific product is on its product page. Where the manufacturer offers longer, you get the longer term.

How to make a claim

  1. Call or email us with your order reference and what the hardware is doing.
  2. We'll troubleshoot with you first — a good portion of "faults" are configuration, and swapping working hardware doesn't fix those.
  3. If it's genuinely faulty, we arrange the return freight and either repair, replace, or refund it.

We don't make you deal with the manufacturer. You bought it from us, so it's ours to sort.

Advance replacement

For venues that can't be down — and that's most of them — we can ship a replacement before the faulty unit comes back. Ask us. It depends on the product and your account, and we'd rather tell you upfront than at the point you need it.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing here reduces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure doesn't amount to a major failure.
